Lanzarote 2013 - part 5
Jameas Del Agua
The former nightclub designed by César Manrique is now also an architectural museum.
It is mainly known by its white little lobsters only living in this volcanic pond.
Used in Lanzarote as his emblem, but in somewhat distorted proportions.
Jameas del Agua by Cézar Manrique: when coming in you see straightly to the pond
...but first a nice coffee
...in the company of...
The pond. The albino lobsters look glowing as stars at the Lanzaro nightly sky.
Jameas del Agua: former bar
Jameas del Agua: the theater, constructed in a crater cave
...with mirror effects
To have a full, all around view of this theatre: see our little film (1,5 min.)
Suggestive volcanic stones: man or woman? Or a bust of Dépardieu?
Jameas del Agua: from the swimming pool ascending
Constructed in the vulcanic landscape
