Tonnerre, the Notre-Dame
Tonnerre, Fosse Dionne. De name is derived from Divona, a Celtic goddess of the water. Tonnerre has been build around this source.
Divers have been diving untill 360 m through the natural tunnels on a depth of 61 meter. Because four divers died the diving is now forbidden.
Probably the tunnels have no end, but continue through an underground labyrinth in the whole calcareous soil of Burgundy.
