Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr we did find the two most beautiful and pleasant places between Strasbourg and Colmar.
First is Ribeauvillé, its storks, the real ones,
...their fan club,
...and the false storks!
Ribeauvillé, each old village or town has his own tower gate, the old entrance
And each place also has his own coffee and wine houses,
or as it is localy called: kojfhus av wistub
...and his pleasant spots

Ribeauvillé, Saint Ulrich.
Around 1140 a German family, Rappolstein, expands a small castle to a big complex.
As a result at the base of the mountain a little city arises. In the 15th century the family of Rappolstein,
later frenchified to Ribeaupierre, settles in the little city, called Ribeauvillé.
The chapel of the castle became a pelgrims residence dedicated to Saint Ulrich, later on the whole castle got this name.
The decadence started at the end of the 17th century.

Riquewihr, so beautifully crooked
Riquewihr, happily this old village was traffic free
Alsace is very rich of artistic and often funny signboards
